A short history of New York’s Second Oldest Monument

Most New Yorkers do not know which are the oldest monuments in New York City; few would guess that the two oldest monuments in New York are Cleopatra’s Needle, followed by the Column of Jerash.  In addition, most New Yorkers do not know where to find the Column of Gerash – in Flushing Meadows, Queens, the largest park in New York City.
