There are several Institutions in New York City that have materials related to the Column or the 1964-5 World’s Fair. There are also several important websites that contain information related to the 1964-5 World’s Fair or the Column.
The NYPL has several collections relevant to the column. First there are the correspondence and papers about the World’s Fair Corporation.
The Dorot Reading Room has several of the excavation reports from the 1930s, which can be consulted.
The New York Historical Society has many historical photographs and some pamphlets related to the 1964-5 World’s Fair.
Queens Library has also historical photographs and materials related to the 1964-5 World’s Fair.
The Brooklyn Historical Society also has a collection of relevant photographs from the 1964-5 World’s Fair.
Jerash was excavated by Yale University in the 1920s and 1930s. Much of the excavated material is either on display at the Yale University Art Gallery.
Artstor, the large image depository, contains large numbers of digitized photographs and drawings from the Yale excavations of Jerash (and Dura Europos). Artstor can only be accessed through a subscription.
The Library of Congress also has an extensive collection of historical photographs, including some of the Temple of Artemis. Many of these have been digitized; the collection is also searchable and many images are out of copyright.
